Before adding the Grant you have to make sure you have a Pool created. [You can take a look at how to create a Pool in this article]. If you try to issue a Grant prior to creating a Pool you will receive this notification.
To issue a Grant go to 'Grant' section in the left-hand menu in 'Securities' block and press the button “Issue Grant”.
There you’d see a page where you need to provide all the necessary information:
Stakeholder Name
Pool
Grant Information (grant date, granted options, share plan)
Vesting Details (linear, non-linear vesting, or no vesting, along with vesting start date and cliff period)
Once all details are accurately entered, the grant can be successfully created.
💡 Please note that the date of the Grant issuance cannot precede the Pool creation date. Otherwise, the system may not calculate accurately or display correct results.
